Who we are
We’re a team of jacks-of-all-trades with a passion for plants and experiences of all kinds. Our aim is to share our discoveries with you. If you’d like to join our group of friendly collaborators, or for any other information, don’t hesitate to write to us at info@tisanji.com.
The tisanji team
tisanji grows like a living meadow: nothing grows here alone. Around us, collaborators weave the invisible roots that nourish our webinars, courses and innovations. Together, we form a resilient ecosystem, where every contribution makes the whole flourish.
Mathieu Hodgson – The Laidback Gardener

Mathieu Hodgson(Le Jardinier Paresseux) is a horticultural popularizer of rare clarity: reliable, generous and accessible. His 15 years of experience in landscaping enrich our courses, and his webinars provide direct access to living knowledge. In our ecosystem, he brings a light that helps everyone grow better, with simplicity.
Gloco.inc

A deeply rooted Quebec company, Gloco inc. offers seeds, flower meadows, composts and organic fertilizers – but above all, accessible information to help professionals and individuals cultivate biodiversity. Their commitment to local, sustainable solutions strengthens the vitality of our webinars and the whole tisanji ecosystem.
Researchers Audrey Durand Université de Laval and Odalric-Ambrym Maillard INRIA

Together with these researchers, tisanji has developed a unique module: experimental design, optimization of cultivation parameters and introduction to the scientific method thanks to Bandit-type AI. Their expertise enables faster, more refined experimentation. An essential scientific foundation for our professional and academic licenses.
Yézid Allaya – Association L’Épi-centre

A passionate market gardener and entertainer with a contagious laugh from the south of France, Yézid brings a creative and human touch. Through L’Épi-centre, he cultivates both vegetables and social ties. His outside perspective inspires us to imagine tools for municipalities, community gardens and early childhood education. His presence reminds us that food resilience is built together.
Marie Bulle – Versatile design

Marie reads a piece of land as a living story. Committed to SQP and ACPFNL, she brings a keen understanding of ecosystems and inspires smarter tools for creating aesthetic, indigenous and resilient environments. A voice that helps us better listen to the land in order to better transform it.
Patricia Saulnier – Perma-Vita

A permaculture landscape gardener, Patricia works for food autonomy and the freedom to eat well. She passes on her knowledge through coaching, consulting and mentoring, while providing access to the tools needed to make ambitious projects a reality. An inspiring presence in our webinars, she anchors tisanji in earth, action and resilience.
Missing friends
tisanji is a fast-growing platform, supported by an ever-expanding network. We meet enthusiasts who become patrons, intermediaries, discreet allies or luminous matchmakers. Perhaps it was through one of them that you discovered us. Maybe you’re already one of them, without even knowing it.
Sources, Knowledge and Interconnections
The references that support tisanji form an ecosystem of knowledge where scientific research, horticultural expertise and botanical traditions meet. It is in this fertile ground that our tools take shape, guided by rigor, curiosity and respect for living things.
Notre Héritage and Arbres fruitiers Québec

The Notre Héritage and Arbres Fruitiers websites, created by Christian Sauvé, are essential reference points for growing vegetable gardens, fruit trees and shrubs in Quebec. They showcase local artisans and provide valuable references, notably on pollinator/rootstock compatibility. Their thoroughness provides a reliable basis for many tisanji sheets.
Bertrand Dumont – Horticulturist & Author

Bertrand Dumont‘s books, including Potager productif, enrich our sections on companion and enemy plants with a keen understanding of companionship. His books Étonnantes histoires de fruits et fines herbes also feed our etymology sections. His work on ecological niches, now sometimes out of print, remains a key resource for understanding where each plant really flourishes.
Hydro-Québec tree and shrub directory
The Hydro-Québec directory, with over 1,700 species and varieties, is a major reference for our tree files. It provides reliable data on hardiness, exposure, height at maturity and safe planting distances near power lines. A solid basis for precise recommendations adapted to the realities of Quebec.
Yves Gagnon and Les Jardins et Semences du Portage

Yves Gagnon‘s books, including Le jardin écologique and La culture écologique des plantes légumières, are classics of organic cultivation. His recommendations – spacing, associations, phytosanitary protection – strongly influence the tisanji sheets. He was also the first to propose a model vegetable garden, and Semences du Portage, integrated into tisanji, enriches our files with their data and photos.
The Laidback Gardener (Mathieu and Larry Hodgson)

The Laidback Gardener ‘s advice is a constant source of horticultural common sense. The book The Lazy Gardener’s Seeds (French version is pictured here) has contributed to our dynamic calendars, and its directories – Jardins d’ombre, Les coups de cœur, La bible des vivaces – enlighten our choices of cultivars and ideal environments. This information is cross-referenced with other references, including those of Bertrand Dumont, to identify reliable trends.
